Trusted Mediums? Now that is a question that can bring on much debate. So for the moment, put aside any personal beliefs and lets run with the notion that you would like to connect to a beloved family member ‘in spirit’.
Go back many years ago and there was the Séance, an organised gathering with a medium and a number of people all connecting hands around the table in an attempt to contact the dead. Much of the time it was only contacting the ‘living’, but that is another story! Now there is the explosion of the many social media platforms where anybody can be anything and have an audience….and with the possibility of a huge worldwide audience at no cost.
Whichever social platform is your favourite for the month, simply use #psychicmedium and a large array will fill your screen with some Mediums charging for their services (I fall into this category but that is not the reason for this post) and many others offering for free. Whilst offering any service for free is admirable, the reason for this post (how to tell if a Medium is genuine or not) makes me question the motivation of a free Mediumship reading.
Some may say this logic is upside down as I have read many saying “if they are genuine they should not ask for money”! Now, we all have to live and we all have bills to pay. Would you rather have a reading from someone that works in McDonald’s during the day (and there is nothing wrong with working in McDonald’s) or a experienced professional that’s does this day in day out? If you do not agree with my view, we are all entitled to one and the rest of this post may seem pointless to you. I respect that.
The main exception is the Church of Spiritualism and any service connected with them. They believe in the continual existence of spirit (where I am an avid spectator weekly at my local church). Readings are given as part of a service with just a minimal charge as an entrance fee. The Mediums they use have been trained and given the thumbs up to work the church circuit.
Regardless of being a professional spirit communicator or the part time ‘give it a go’ Medium, the following will give you some pointers as which way (or not) to go when choosing your Psychic Medium or Spirit Medium (and the difference between the two will be explored on a later post). Trusted Mediums….can they do what they claim?
1/ This is the most obvious one to find trusted Mediums….testimonials. It is a good start but any friend, family member or someone that owes someone a favour can leave a good review on Google or Facebook (other search engines and social platforms available) claiming that the were the best Medium that ever lived. You need something more tangible. Do some research and contact someone that has used the Mediums services before. You can never beat word of mouth recommendations.
2/ A TV Medium is great….view-able ‘proof’. A Medium that does ‘the circuit’…..GREAT….they are a professional. Don’t just take the word from anyone claiming they are a Medium without something to back it up as it could lead to a very expensive experience with someone that simply has voices in their head.
3/ A website. Whilst anyone can create a website with little or no money nowadays, it should at least be a professional looking website with multiple verifiable testimonials and pictures (or/and video’s) showing the Medium doing what they say they can do. As such, it separates the ‘men from the boy’s’ and at least will give an indication as to whether they are just playing around with spirit communication or they are a professional or not.
4/ Gut feeling. What ‘vibe’ do you get from the supposed Medium? We are all equipped with intuition and gut feelings….use these resources more! How do they come across to you….genuine? If you ‘smell a rat’, they usually are. Yes, this applies to most trade workers but as much as I mentioned charging fees earlier, is it an excessive amount charged and inline with others. Do they look like they are charging a high amount with the sole intention to make a ‘quick buck’ out of a willing victim wanting just to make contact with a dear departed soul. A charge to make a living….yes. Charging an amount to near enough rob you….no.
Whether or not they are contacting the dead is a long debate which I will cover in a later post. The conclusion you can only make once they have presented their evidence. Is the evidence that is purporting to be communication with your departed loved one, family member or friend genuine….only you will really know.
Hate less, love more…
